About the Role

 

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for validating our off-the-shelf vehicles to ensure they meet Spin’s safety and functional requirements. To succeed at this role, you will be working alongside both external suppliers and internal engineering to ensure design quality and to bridge the hardware/software interface. You will need to have a strong technical foundation and understanding of the overall systems such as mechanical, electrical and firmware. Responsibilities
  • Support the introduction of new hardware technologies by performing system level validation focused on areas of performance, reliability, repairability, and safety
  • Become an expert in electric vehicle powertrain (Battery, Motor Controller, Motor) to be able to spec out appropriate systems for new products
  • Manage overseas suppliers for delivery and execution of the products ensuring cost, timeline, and quality are up to Spin standard
  • Develop and coordinate the execution of EE/FW system qualification test plans
  • Support vehicleserver protocol definition between our vendors and internal SW teams
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams on system-level hardware bring-up and integration from the backend to hardware deployment in the market

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in multiple consumer electronics product launches in a fast-paced production ramping environment
  • Experience working with overseas contract manufacturing partners
  • Knowledge of electric vehicle systems including but not limited to lithium-ion batteries, brushless motor control, GNSS
  • Previous Electric vehicle manufacturing and IoT SW/FW integration experience a plus
