Description:The candidate will be the technical contributor for a systems engineering, integration and test (SEIT) team for supporting production activities of a shipboard computing system including research, design, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support sustainment efforts. This role entails supporting team efforts in the system design, integration, and troubleshooting of the radio communications, networking and computing environment which supports the tactical command and control system, data and voice communications, cyber security, and business systems for various shipboard programs. The candidate has breadth of systems knowledge to research, design, proposal and other related technical tasks in the area of radios, networking, and computing.
Basic Qualifications:• General knowledge across one or more key areas, including radio communications, networking, computing, software, systems engineering.• Able to work with a cross-functional and geographically dispersed multidisciplinary team including systems, software, electrical, and mechanical backgrounds.• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.• Able to drive technical issues and decisions to resolution.• Familiarity with Agile development.
Desired Skills:• Knowledge of research, design, and perform system integration of radios, networking, computing, and voice communications system architecture.• Knowledge in system integration with COTS hardware products, operating systems, virtual technology, and related applications.• Knowledge in working with hardware and software interfaces, system integration, develop procedures, and executing functional tests.• Able to present technical issues and resolution plans to other team members and leadership team.• Experience troubleshooting communication systems.• Able and willing to travel as requested (up to 25%)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
