We are looking for talented systems engineers to join our team, working with other engineering disciplines to help develop many best-in-class products and solutions.

This systems engineer will support the F-35 Training System programs and will work on a broad array of technical problems and will participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at improving customer value. The engineer will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies, and he or she will recommend requirement allocations to translate customer requirements into system level specifications. The engineer will perform requirements development, system design, system integration, test, verification, and validation. The engineer will also participate in cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems. In this important role, the engineer will collaborate with other program personnel, participating in multi-functional Agile teams. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking.

Basic Qualifications:
Basic qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's level degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related technical field and 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. Considered an emerging authority.

Candidates must have the ability to obtain security clearance.

Candidates must have working knowledge of Model Based Engineering (MBE), DOORs, Modeling Tools such as Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody

Candidates must have prior experience on large scale flight simulation systems

Demonstrated experience with High-Level Architecture (HLA), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), or related simulation technologies
Desired Skills:
Individuals considered for this position may have experience in one or more of the following areas:• Prior F35 Aircraft or F35 Training and Simulation Experience• Experienced working with multiple F-35 engineering teams (e.g., MS, VS, WPNs, I&T, Environments)• Familiar with current F-35 Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and the pacing threat that drives employment techniques• Familiar with F-35 Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) conventions• Working knowledge of the JSF Mission Planning Environment (MPE)• Familiarity with tactical datalinks, weapon systems, communication systems and sensors• Working knowledge of Agile development and Atlassian tool suite• Experience with Integration and Test, developing/executing test procedures• Experience with aircraft systems, sensors, pilot & maintenance training systems

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 5 years
