The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity. As a member of the NGI team, you will perform tasks related to the development of the overall system. You should have a complete understanding of at least one of the key system subject areas with the opportunity to work in all fields to include systems definition, allocation, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, analysis, and test.

In addition, you will:• Support major program reviews including SRR, PDR, and CDR. • Participate in Specification and Interface Control Document development, as well as support the process to include the development of Test Plans. • Support missile system analyses in support of mission planning and execution as well as tests at various test ranges. • Be involved in all phases of the project development (e.g., architecture development, CONOPS, definition, qualification, integration assembly, and test)• Work in a team environment and collaborate with multiple disciplines, program management, and customers to help drive to a complete solution• Some travel may be required.

A successful candidate will typically possess a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor of Science in a related field, or equivalent years of experience and education• Experience and full knowledge of processes in one or more of the following areas:
1. Identification, decomposition, and allocation
2. Interface control document and element specification development and management
3. Planning or performance of requirements
4. System-level missile system analysis
5. Hardware and/or software test planning and/or execution
6. System Integration• Interim DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:• Customer interface experience• Experience with one or more of the following:
1. Support to major reviews
2. Missile system experience
3. MatLab, and/or other or analysis tools
4. Hardware/Software Development
5. Hypersonics
6. Missile or Weapon System Development
7. Performance, Functional, or Software
8. CONOPS or Architecture Development
9. Support to System Level trade studies

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret
