We are seeking a knowledgeable Systems Engineer of Multimedia Solutions who will work closely with key infrastructure teams, business partners and vendors to engineer and maintain the technologies that deliver NM's enterprise broadcast platforms.

  • Apply engineering best practices to develop, evaluate and implement platform changes.
  • Closely follow industry trends relevant to your domain and understand how to apply them to your work as appropriate.
  • Able to move between diverse tasks and roles with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in those around you for your user's experience.

Bring your best! What this role needs:
Networking Skills

  • OSI Model / TCIP Stack
  • Network hardware including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Real-time telephony & video protocols
  • Broadcast Protocols
  • Multicast
  • Firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Investigating faults in network security systems and protocols
  • Training staff on network and system protocols


Packet Analysis

  • GigaVue, GigaStor,
  • Observer, Wireshark


A/V Skills

  • Dante Audio


Server Administrator Basics

  • Partner to build Linux, Windows & Virtual Servers
  • Certificate management


Telephony skills

  • Troubleshooting VoIP network issues
  • Developing architecture plans for voice, audio visual and data services


Operating systems

  • Linux basics, Windows basics


Ci/cd

  • GitLab workflows, PowerShell, Python, SQL Transact, Ansible


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in support and/or systems engineering


General skills

  • An analytical mind with ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills - both written and verbal
  • Vendor management skills
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting and problem-solving of hardware and software
  • Cabling and wiring to implement various technologies
