Description:Make a lasting impact! Be part of a team that brings together leading missile defense industry experts to help guide the future of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA's) ballistic and hypersonic Missile Defense System (MDS). National Team-Engineering (NT-E) is MDA's one-stop shop for systems engineering reach-back into the major companies that build the essential elements of the MDS.

Systems engineers on the National Team are helping to drive the future systems that will protect the United States, its friends and allies for generations to come.

The National Team has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer to perform the following tasks:• Participate in a Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis • Analyze and document system of system behaviors to meet emerging needs using MBSE tools and principles • Develop and maintain architectural views, interface control documentation, and other supporting engineering products, resulting in publishing change notices to the MDA system specification, driving future system capability• Support analysis to allocate and trace system and element level requirements • Work as a member of a multi-discipline team of 2-4 engineers in the execution of these tasks
Basic Qualifications:
*Must currently have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance*

- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of experience required with a related Masters degree

- Experience working in a Systems Engineering team and be familiar with MBSE tools and techniques

- Experience supporting a DoD or commercial program

- Ability to think critically and effectively convey concepts in papers, presentations, and discussions

- Capable of working both independently and within a small team environment

- Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
National Team employees may have the opportunity to work on a variety of specialized projects based on their backgrounds. The following skills are desirable, but not required. If you have experience in any of the topics listed below, please note them on your resume:

Experience using one or more of the following common MBSE tools:

DOORS, UNICOM System Architect, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Rational Rhapsody, etc.

- Systems engineering experience in one-or-more of BMD systems or capabilities similar to:

EO/IR sensors, RF/Radar sensors, kill vehicles, missiles/interceptors, threats & countermeasures, target discrimination, or command and control (e.g., C3I, C4I, etc.) strongly desired

- Experience with large, complex requirements sets is a plus

- Experience with DOORS System Administration tasks and DXL and/or VBA scripting a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 5 years
