ECS is seeking a Systems Engineer - Linux to work in our Washington DC office.

Job Description:
Responsible for implementing Intelligence Community Analysis and Signature Tool (ICOAST), a hardened version of the Malware Indicator Sharing Platform (MISP) on classified and unclassified enclaves using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and integrating Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) from Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) feeds from implementation to ATO.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree, and 4+ years of experience.
• TS/ SCI Clearance
• This position shall be filled with individuals that have a minimum of Red Hat Certified Administrator (RHSA)
• Systems Engineer skill set with focus on Unix/Linux based systems such as Red Hat Linux, and CentOS
• Engineer, design, installation, implementation, and configuration as well as ongoing support of the Unix/Linux Infrastructure.
• Experience with managing enterprise Linux systems, including CentOS and RHEL and remote systems administration using SSH
• Evaluate, improve, and maintain the information security throughout the Linux infrastructure
• Possess excellent knowledge base in DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, and integration with Windows to solve functional or technical issues.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Write and maintain custom Ansible, bash, Python, Perl scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Build new baselines with the appropriate security and access controls to include DISA STIGS and required security controls.
• Document technical environments, processes and procedures
• LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory

Desired Skills:

• Experience with; Docker, Cake PHP, OpenResty, MySQL
• AWS database management using MariaDB
• Set-up/maintain user accounts and support system security vulnerability scan activities
• Participate in program standup meetings to discuss system status, technical issues, or coordinate production system changes
• The candidate will assist Information System Security personnel with documentation required for RMF compliance
• Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems and provisioning applications
• Ability to author, interpret and analyze technical documentation
• Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
• Candidates must have experience supporting similar projects within an Agile framework
• The successful candidate will perform systems administration and management duties with all components of classified information systems on physical and virtual platforms to support contract computing needs.
