Our system will travel at Mach 5 (over a mile per second). Helping us create build a system that goes that fast means overcoming a number of difficult physics and engineering challenges. You will be integrating hypersonic missile technology into an Army battery on a highly accelerated schedule to deliver a hypersonic operational prototype system to the Warfighter. Lockheed Martin is looking for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to become a member of the Systems Design and Integration Team. As a Systems Engineer, you will:• Draft, review, and release requirements specification documents, including defining the requirements and verification baseline• Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system-level design and decomposition into requirements• Perform system analysis and interface definition and management/ execution• Participate in studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities• Develop plans to on-ramp new mission capabilities while protecting the primary mission• Participate in and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews Learn more about LRHW
Basic Qualifications:• Experience with one or more Systems Integration functions including:
a.) System trade studies and/or System modeling
b.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
c.) System Integration, Test and/or Verification
d.) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies• Knowledge of the Systems Engineering process including trade studies, design reviews and system verification • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:• Preferred 2+ years of experience with Hypersonic Programs• 3+ years with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with knowledge of space, missile, and launch systems at the component through system level• Experience in requirements specifications definition, development, verification processes, decomposition, allocation, and tools• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware/software products throughout the full lifecycle of the program• Experiencing interacting with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change• Active Secret security clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
