General Summary:

You will lead and conduct performance and systems studies, using simulators, profilers, or hardware to understand performance bottlenecks. You will define and analyze complex use cases including new workloads (AR/VR, AI, etc.), infer systems requirements and influence our SOC architecture and implementation direction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to own and drive a project, and collaborate with multiple teams and disciplines
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with:
  • interconnect, memory controllers, MMUs, caches
  • pre-silicon performance estimation methodologies for custom IP blocks
  • cycle-accurate performance modeling environments (such as SystemC/TLM)
  • power and performance tradeoffs
  • programming (C/C++) and scripting (Python)

Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced System Performance Engineer to join our SoC Performance and Analysis team to do performance modeling and analyze performance tradeoffs of our next-generation system-on-chip (SoC) products for mobile, automotive, AR/XR and other product categories.
In this role, you will partner with architects, and chip designers to identify and analyze key metrics that impact performance of critical concurrent system-level use-cases covering system interconnects, caches, memory controller, camera, video, and other IPs.

Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
