Job Description:

Systems Analyst / Developer - Operations

This position plays a meaningful role in the Fidelity Giving Marketplace Operations and Customer Support team. If you are interested in helping our donors and clients with making donations and matching gifts to thousands of non-profit organizations, then you may be phenomenal for this position!

As a team member on a small but dynamic team, some of your main responsibilities will be to provide support to the Non-Profit Outreach team, process financial transactions (scheduled and per request) to charitable organizations, and to develop and maintain internal support SQL scripts and internal tool set. These activities help facilitate moving the donation funds from donors to charities. Some associated activities include providing Tier 2 charity and client support, analyzing system activity for issues or exceptions, product troubleshooting, and product level input for both product and operation product updates.

The Expertise You Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Operational support and performance monitoring
  • Data-driven analysis and problem-solving
  • Database scripting, process scripting and some software development background is preferred.
  • MS SQL, MySQL or equivalent
  • Python or similar scripting language

As an Operations Team member, you will have impact to all areas of the Giving Marketplace Platform. You will work with Product, Development and Non-Profit Outreach teams to tackle data related issues, resolve questions related to enrollments, financial transactions, and identify improvements to everything from Product area to Operational Processes.

  • Experience in database data analysis and problem determination skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid attention to detail and a strong, customer-centric focus
  • Skills in product and technical troubleshooting, and able to communicate issue and solution to internal support team and directly to customers
  • Ability to understand, update, and develop new Python and SQL scripts
  • Strong organizational skills to balance multiple issues, respond to internal requests and perform regular processing responsibilities
  • Software development experience and agile methodologies

  • Providing excellent technical support to our client services team, product team, non-profit organizations, and our clients
  • Crafting and improving internal software tools and data scripts to continually improve the results of our non-profit outreach effort
  • Providing insight and suggested improvements for end-user, non-profit and internal team use of the product to ensure and improve platform efficiency
  • Analyzing data that is sourced from internal and external sources for accuracy and quality
  • Assisting in the reconciliation of money movement transactions
