Role Summary
The System Test Engineer is responsible for functional performance testing of ADAS / autonomous driving functions and is the counterpart of the function developer. The system test engineer defines function-specific test concepts and specifications by considering the system, Black Box. The engineer defines the functional specific test architecture, workflow, test implementation in pyspark based python environment, instructing execution engineers for test execution and test report generation for all the assigned projects. The engineer develops and frequently coordinates with the test manager, core test developers, and function developers for daily doing.

Key Responsibilities
- Understands functional scope of products, projects, and functions
- Analysis and review of functional performance requirements, negotiate and propose changes, if necessary, confirm testability of the requirements
- Defines function-specific test components and write specifications by considering the system as a black box
- Define functional specific test architecture and workflows
- Write pseudo code
- Define ground truth requirements
- Perform code review with lead developers
- Define test report content together with function developer and code developers
- Implementation of test in python and pyspark based exist big data analysis tools
- Support execution engineers for release test execution and report generation
- Planning and coordinating with test managers, labeling team, core test developers, and function developers for daily doing
- Test report discussion with function developers, test manager, and OEM stakeholders
- Support function developer in primary to root cause analysis of functions inadequate performance
- Support in risk assessment together with the test manager and function developer
- Able to manage and coordinate with a team of 2 to 3 test developers
- Based on function complexity able to support multiple projects and functions
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- > 5 years of Working knowledge in ADAS series project(s)
- Professional working experience (>3 years of experience) in functional test design engineering in ADAS (functional test design of object detection, Point cloud Plus, Free Space Detection, AEB, ACC, LDW, TSR, lane/road description, etc.)
- Advance knowledge in statistical analysis, big data analysis, AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data mining is the desire
- ADAS functions' (AEB, OD, ACC, LDW, TSR, etc.) understanding is desired
- Working knowledge of AWS (amazon web service)
- ISO 26262 working knowledge
- Professional experience in Big data analysis/data science
- Algorithm development experience in ADAS / autonomous driving is a big plus
- ISTQB CTFL certificate
- Working knowledge of product development and product testing engineering practices in the automotive field
- Understanding reprocessing concepts, ADAS safety concepts, and relation with functional performance requirements is a big plus
Additional Information
- Master's / diploma degree in computer science, physics, mechatronics, automotive, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent
- Professional experience in Python, Scala, Pyspark, C++ (Object Oriented Programming)
- Advance skills in big data analysis libraries, tools, and methods
- Working knowledge of UML, VISIO, MS Office package
- Knowledge of Automotive Ethernet, CAN, and LIN based tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, neoVI, and other automotive networks and related tools as plus
- Proficiency in English is a must (speaking & writing)
- German language is a plus
- Working knowledge in a planned and structured approach
- Working knowledge of problem-solving techniques
- Working knowledge of PTC
