POSITION SUMMARY
The System Engineer II - IT Services is responsible for the administration, support, and enhancement of multiple enterprise platform applications.
MAJOR PROBLEMS / CHALLENGES
- Gathering problem examples from which to work from
- Working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Interrupts to projects to address ad-hoc requests and urgent production technical issues
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Degree (Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering or Computer Science)
- 2+ years of UCaaS in a service provider environment
- Strong communication and technical skills, preferably within the UCaaS industry
- Strong understanding of telephony IP protocols (SIP, RTP, TFTP, LDAP, DHCP)
- Working knowledge of IP protocols and IP networking
- Working knowledge of trace applications (e.g. Wireshark)
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Experience working in a VMWare environment (ESXi, VCenter etc.)
- Experience working in a Dev Ops environment and using Azure Dev Ops
- Experience working with automation and orchestration technologies, such as SALT Stack or Cloud-Init is considered an asset
- Bash or Python scripting experience is considered an asset
- Experience with Mitel products is considered an asset
- Any minet protocol experience is considered an asset
REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
REQUIRED TRAVEL
- Minimal, perhaps once per year.

- None
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY (Span and extent of authority associated with this position)
- Degree of autonomy in terms of troubleshooting
- No financial/managerial decisions necessary

Job RequirementsMinimum Requirements: College degree in a Technical or a related field and 2-4 years professional level experience; or 6 years professional level related Technical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
