Davidson is seeking a System Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

The Engineer position is an integral part of a fast-paced, innovative research and development initiative for the Missile Defense Agency involving the creation of a hyper converged infrastructure and a virtual cyber range. The team works at the cross-roads of High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtualization, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Modeling & Simulations (M&S).

Responsibilities include:

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support-ability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
• Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

The team performs the following major tasks:

• System Architecture Design, Development, and Maintenance
• Evaluation of system functional and performance characteristics
• Production and maintenance of databases and Model-Based Systems Engineering tools

Qualifications
Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree and 2+ years of experience or Master of Science degree and 0 years of experience
• Capability to comprehend System Architecture and System Requirements (System Specifications high level requirements to the lowest level of decomposition) in a model-based environment
• Capability to understand software systems interface documentation, interconnect diagrams, military standards, etc.

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:

• Experience working in Agile for Hardware project development
• Active security clearance, minimum level Secret

Ability to obtain a Secret security Clearance
