Continuous Improvement Manager, Supply Chain

The Adyen IPP solution is driven by a combination of our physical payment devices in store and our core processing platform. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join our dynamic supply chain team. As the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence and efficiency within our supply chain operations, ensuring that we provide a great experience to our customers. Your primary focus will be to create and implement a robust program that ensures all processes within the designated area work cohesively to achieve the highest level of quality, meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations both in terms of what they receive and how they receive it. Your efforts will be instrumental in enhancing our reputation for delivering exceptional products and services.

What you’ll do

  • Process Analysis and Optimization: You would conduct thorough analyses of existing supply chain processes. By using data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs), you would identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Program Development: You would create and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement program tailored to the specific needs of the designated supply chain area with a focus on delivering quality to our merchants. This program would include clear goals, milestones, and performance metrics, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with improvement initiatives.
  • Change Management: Facilitating change management initiatives would be part of the responsibilities, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and best practices within the supply chain. They would provide training and support to teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: You would collaborate with various departments, including Procurement, Supply Chain, Product, and Warehousing teams, to ensure seamless integration of improvement efforts across the supply chain.
  • Best Practices and Benchmarking: Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and market trends would be essential in this role. You would conduct benchmarking activities to identify leading practices and incorporate them into the improvement program.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitoring the progress and effectiveness of the program initiatives is crucial. You would prepare and present comprehensive reports on performance metrics, trends, and areas for further improvement to senior management.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively identifying challenges and roadblocks within the supply chain and implementing effective solutions would be part of the day-to-day tasks. This ensures the team maintains a problem-solving mindset and continuously strives for improvement.
  • Incident management: On quality related topics, you play a central, coordinating role within the Supply Chain and Procurement teams to ensure we address issues. You develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues

Who you are

  • Experience: Proven experience in supply chain management, process improvement, or related roles. Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Project management skills: You have the ability to manage projects effectively, from planning to implementation and monitoring.
  • Visionary: You have a clear vision of what you would like to create and are able to execute against that ideal while bringing others along on your journey.
  • Pragmatic: You will have strong problem-solving capabilities and do not shy away from dealing with operational incidents
  • Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail is important in identifying quality issues and ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain meet the required quality standards.
  • Communicative: You align and collaborate with colleagues from different departments and external relations such as suppliers. You are able to navigate an ambiguous environment where teamwork takes precedence over individual responsibilities.
  • Tech savvy: Enthusiastic about modern technology and the adoption in the daily operations to bring Supply Chain Management to the next level.
