Job Description

Summary:

The supply chain engineer is responsible for modeling service part supply, demand, and fulfillment operations, evaluating supply chain performance, and supporting continuous improvement activities. This critical role will interface and work cross functionally with global sourcing, purchasing, finance, service planning, service, logistics, and other supporting departments to optimize delivery, cost, and quality of service parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to increase service part delivery performance, lower costs, and improve quality
  • Develops supply chain models and evaluates alternatives based on performance
  • Leads supply chain projects on shortage management, supply continuity, life cycle management, and master data management (MDM)
  • Develops strong business cases to prioritize projects and initiatives across the organization
  • Ensures supply chain has effective root cause problem solving activities and successful identification of systemic issues and corrective action
  • Work with planners and analysts to secure high quality data and develop future KPIs
  • Supports quality assurance processes for service parts, including internal & external audits as required
  • Assists with ad hoc reporting and project requests as required



Qualifications:

a. Required

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering or related field of study
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  • Strong computer/data analysis skills and experience with tools such as Excel, Power Pivot, Access, SQL, Power BI, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams to solve process issues and find efficiencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
  • Experience multitasking and pivoting throughout the day based on prioritization changes
  • Must have an innovative, goal-oriented, and results driven approach to challenges



b. Preferred

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt a plus
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, SAP, and Salesforce
  • Experience with ERP implementation
