Overview
The Default QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for supervising and performing quality control audits on a monthly basis to any default related processes. Ensure that loans are managed and in accordance with investor, insurer, company policies and procedures and guidelines.
Assigns work to staff ensuring that in-line QA's and post mortem QC's are completed accurately and timely. In-Line QA (quality assurance) review is performed to make sure that all the requirements are met prior to finalizing the process. Post Mortem QC reviews are done to verify any errors made during the process in order to remediate and be able to improve going forward.
Job Description

  • Responsible for performing quality control audits on a monthly basis to any default related processes
  • Ensure that default loans are managed and in accordance with investor, insurer, company policies and procedures and guidelines
  • In-Line QA (quality assurance) review is performed to make sure that all the requirements are met prior to finalizing the process
  • Post Mortem QC reviews are done to verify any errors made during the process in order to remediate and be able to improve going forward
  • Will create and use itemized checklists to perform testing of each document and report the validation or any discrepancies. Any discovered findings are to be reported to the business unit leader for immediate corrective action
  • Identify and create audit reviews - where In-line QA or Post Mortem QC reviews are needed
  • Create and provide reports for results of review to each default lines of business with detailed information on any finding and, if necessary corrective action needed
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Process Improvement methods and ability to implement
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
