What you'll be able to do:
Ford Motor Company is growing our manufacturing expertise in structural and complex castings. Our supplier business partners are a very important part of this growth. The Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) organization supports our Global suppliers with Manufacturing Technical expertise as they invest and grow their business to support ours. Ford Motor Company is looking for an experienced casting manufacturing professional to join our Global Core Casting team. This team is composed of Technical Experts, Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers who assist the suppliers as they grow with Ford Motor Company. In this critical role you will:

  • Develop STA point of view with Technical Experts and affected regions on manufacturing feasibility risk assessment and manufacturing readiness of new technologies
  • Build manufacturing feasibility plans for new parents, new technology, and high-risk commodities
  • Support the Site STA engaging supplier's Global Management team to address systemic quality, capacity, and manufacturing issues
  • Lead the development and maintenance of casting manufacturing standards
  • Drive robust sourcing risk assessment on casting suppliers
  • Collaborate with peers in Product Development and STA
  • Create global lessons learned and prevent recurrence



The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical) received or pursuing and received by June 2022



Our Preferred Requirements:

  • 5 years of casting experience
  • MBA/MS - Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical
  • Excellent written and communications skills and ability to effectively communicate with global teams
  • Advanced knowledge of casting manufacturing process(es)
  • Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch in casting manufacturing systems
  • Operational experience in casting manufacturing processes and process control
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and/or program launch
  • Experience conducting manufacturing feasibility assessments
