This position is for a seasoned Structural Engineering professional that can work independently. The individual will be able to resolve design problems of moderate scope to ensure a high-quality product. They will also be able to identify design deficiencies, recommend revisions, perform complex structural engineering analysis and provide technical support and technical leadership.

Job Description
Role Overview
This position is for a seasoned Structural Engineering professional that can work independently. The individual will be able to resolve design problems of moderate scope to ensure a high-quality product. They will also be able to identify design deficiencies, recommend revisions, perform complex structural engineering analysis and provide technical support and technical leadership.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Resolves design problems of moderate scope to ensure a high-quality product.
- Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers to ensure high quality of the end-product.
- Synthesizes analyses of test results to prepare technical reports on findings and recommendations.
- Conducts analyses to develop options or recommendations for products and processes.
- Applies scientific principles, performs complex structural engineering analyses including dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analytics so resulting products and processes meet required structural engineering specifications.
- Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs.
- Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowable and structural modeling.
- Designs, develops and tests metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from four-year ABET college or university.
- Eight (8) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in classical analysis methods and hand calculations.
- Experience in FEM.
- Experience with PATRAN, FEMAP, NASTRAN or other finite element analysis software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of functional work experience.
- Familiar with current EASA and FAA regulations, particularly CS25 and/or 14 CFR Part 25.
- Experience in a design organization heavily involved in aerospace design.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Good team working and work ethic.
- Experience in test validation and verification.
- Technical leadership capability.
