We are looking for a highly motivated US based Staff Engineer to run, improve and scale our CICD pipelines and global AWS production infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have previously shown the ability to design, implement and maintain new and existing CICD pipelines and production infrastructure as well as monitoring, alerting, trending and dashboarding. The Staff SRE/DevOps Engineer will work closely with Product Developers, Product Owners and Customer Success on new infrastructure, software architecture and new feature introductions.

Your Day to Day

  • Create, maintain, and execute improvements to our CICD pipeline and all environments as we scale our systems to meet increasing customer demand with a focus on "last mile" stability (stage -> prod). 
  • Enhance and extend production infrastructure performance and scalability. Assist with our Production migration to EKS/Kubernetes.
  • Identify relevant business metrics and implement real time monitoring, alerting, trending and dashboarding.
  • Identify high ROI problems for remediation and cost savings/margin improvement.
  • Analyze tech debt issues and help leadership prioritize resourcing for certain high-value fixes.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of the test environments.
  • Respond to escalated non production and production incidents on a rotating basis. (3rd level support)

WHY YOU ARE THE PERFECT FIT

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years working in a 24X7X365 Enterprise SaaS environment.
  • 10+ years experience in automation and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Chef, Codebuild preferred)
  • 10+ years experience in monitoring, alerting and trending (DataDog, SumoLogic, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, PagerDuty preferred)
  • 10+ years’ experience in Linux/Java/Apache environments
  • 5+ years experience in load balancing and autoscaling (AWS ASG, Spot.io preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience in multiple AWS services (EC2, EKS/Kubernetes, Cloudfront, MSK preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience with CICD technologies (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory, Containerization preferred)
  • 5+ years’ experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Github, Jira, Confluence preferred)Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs.
