The Platform department crafts the technology ecosystem that enables Spotify to learn and deliver quickly, while safely and easily scaling to billion customers, and enabling our rapid employee growth around the globe. Our team consists of eight organizational units (known as ‘tribes’) that reflect the needs and groupings of our internal customers - from the shared approaches to supporting and aligning the craft and practice of designers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists - to the frameworks, capabilities and tools they need to do their work as effectively, quickly, and safely as possible. This role sits within our Platform Consultancy team. Our goal with the Platform Consultancy is to increase speed for our customers, reduce waste within our teams and secure a faster move onto an aligned technology stack across Spotify together with our customers.

You’ll be based in New York and manage relationships with partners globally. You’ll work with the Platform Consultancy Lead.

What you'll do:

• You will be part of a cross functional team of different domain experts working closely with internal customers.
• You’ll promote sound engineering practices, drive work on technical strategy and roadmaps.
• You’ll advocate for unification of infrastructure, tools and languages where clients are similar in structure to lower the cost of ownership and increase the speed of the adopting teams.
• Collaborate with other specialists, product managers, and designers to identify and tackle exciting problems, crafting an awesome engineering experience within Spotify.
• Initiate, influence and drive technical projects across teams within Spotify.
• Lead meetings with multi-functional teams and key partners at all levels that has an impact on Spotify technology stack.
• You’ll support planning this work together with affected Platform Tribes and Tribes outside of Platform.
• Travel to different Spotify offices interacting with customers and implementation teams.
• Support in identifying and implementing measurements of success (KPIs) for the team.

Who you are:

• You have extensive experience working hands-on as a Software Engineer and as a technical leader in an agile environment.
• Experience mentoring and supporting peers and engineering teams, fostering best engineering practices.
• You possess a deep understanding of how to translate product and business goals into tech.
• Several years of experience from working with infrastructure.
• Google Cloud Platform experience is a bonus.
• As a phenomenal influencer with great communication skills, you love sharing your knowledge with others and helping them grow.
• You possess technical knowledge where you can showcase your expertise by speaking at both internal and external conferences.
