Staff Software Engineer
Q2 is seeking an innovative and passionate Full Stack Engineer to help build an industry changing FinTech platform. This engineer will be part of a dynamic team that is helping to deliver the next version of our back-office reporting platform and will be integral to its success. This role has proven experience delivering front-end and middle-layer components that enable end-users to have a quick, seamless experience in the app.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop innovative new tools for our customers to utilize for reporting and data visualizations
- Assist with development of front-end features as well as middle layer tooling to enable the best customer experience
- Active participation in scrum ceremonies including grooming, sprint planning, standups, sprint demos, and retrospectives
- Support, maintain and resolve problems with software in live production systems
- Ensure compliance with all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience
- Experience in designing and creating API layers and development of front-end single-page JavaScript applications
- Proven skills with advanced JavaScript frameworks (Ember, Vue, Angular, React)
- Proven skills in Python, Node.js, or other related backend languages
- Advanced knowledge of HTML5/CSS3
- Experience working with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
- Experience integrating with backend systems and understanding data flow
- Strong object-oriented coding practice and automated unit testing experience
PREFERRED:
- You are a master at the command line
- You know advanced Git techniques and workflows
- Experience with VueJs and Python
- Experience with building APIs and working with web components
