Hotel Engine is eager to add a Staff Software Engineer, Node.js, to our growing Engineering Org! In this role, you'll be making architectural decisions, developing and maintaining an internal set of systems and tools, mentoring and shaping mid and junior-level engineers, and building out integrations with third parties. Here's what we're looking for:
The ideal candidate for this position loves JavaScript and wants to do full-time back-end Node development, but can also attribute to front-end applications if the opportunity arises. This person can lead projects and understands how to scale high throughput production systems at scale using the tools described in this listing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and understands how to communicate well with a team through written and verbal conversations.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years of Node.js experience
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production APIs
- 3+ years of AWS experience
- Some experience with micro-service architecture
- Some front-end experience with a popular framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
- Working knowledge of modern control systems (Git/Github)
Cash compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000/year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.
