What we are building

The Enterprise Management team builds enterprise grade features of the Domino platform, as well as common frameworks serving our customers and internal teams. Our charter includes but is not limited to identity and access management (authentication and authorization), API enablement (standards, platform and tooling including open source libraries), cost center (tracking compute resources spend and waste), and secret management.

What your impact will be

  • Build strategic features and make significant contributions to the codebase which will have immediate impact on our customers and internal teams
  • Craft durable, well-tested code in Scala, Java and Python with an unwavering commitment to product quality
  • Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define your team’s vision and roadmap by thoroughly understanding your customers’ needs
  • Coach and develop engineers, cultivating pragmatic engineering decision-making, and leveraging your technical expertise to constantly raise the bar
  • Lead and participate in critical technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across the organization and company

What we look for in this role

  • 8+ years experience in software engineering as a backend or full-stack engineer
  • Expert knowledge of a high level programming language like Java, Scala, or C#, ideally with experience in functional programming (successful candidate is expected to work with the code 50-70% of the time)
  • Desire to learn new things every day
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to take and manage a project from scoping requirements through actual launch
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding or equivalent technical experience

Bonus points

  • Prior experience in a technical lead role, with responsibility for architectural decisions and the development of software engineers
  • Knowledge of authentication & authorization processes, patterns and frameworks
  • Prior experience developing complex production-quality enterprise software systems
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like React and Angular
  • Familiarity with Play or Spring frameworks
  • Ability to efficiently mentor, train and develop senior engineers
  • Passionate about engineering excellence
