Overview

IGT is looking for an Architect. In this vital role with the IGT Casino Architecture team, you will work with various engineering teams, product assurance, and product management to help shape the future of IGT's Casino Gaming business, with a focus on game platform Architecture, game SDK Architecture, and Electronic Table Games (ETG).

Responsibilities

* Define architectural roadmaps
* Assess the impact of architecturally relevant product changes and document preferred implementation paths in consultation with stakeholders
* Perform periodic proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate or demonstrate key architecture or technology proposals
* Help to refine product or feature scope
* Define interfaces between cross functional components
* Support product development efforts by reviewing designs, participating in code reviews, and supporting efforts to resolve critical issues where appropriate
* Periodically review and document the architectural state of various products
* Present architectural roadmaps and solutions to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

* BSCS degree or equivalent, plus fifteen (15) years experience or MS degree plus twelve (12) years software development experience.
* Minimum of 12 years of software development in a major programming language (C++, C#) is required
* Minimum of (7) years of n-tier, service-oriented, or microservice architecture design and development
* Minimum (10) years of development experience with the Windows Operating System
* Minimum of (5) years of experience with relational databases
* Minimum of (5) years of experience with networking, TCP/IP family of protocols, secure socket communications
* Solid understanding of software architectural patterns & practices

Preferred:
* Significant experience in development of slot machine platforms and games
* Experience with distributed transaction algorithms (Two-phase commit, Saga, and other patterns)
* Experience with HTML5
* Experience with Unity 3D
* Experience with Linux operating system
* Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, etc
