The Day-to-Day

Principal Duties:
  • Lead and complete all critical product test activities through NPI/NTI Toll-Gates
  • Define and generate Manufacturing Test Plan (MTP)
    • Collaborate with cross-functional NPI/NTI teams to define/outline robust test specifications/solutions to ensure expedited and successful product launch to market
    • Deliver future test equipment/system needs by capturing industry and customer test requirements for new products
    • Define and estimate manufacturing capacity and cost based on product forecast
  • Champion NPI/NTI Test Readiness
    • Lead test standardization, test plan approvals, and governance
    • Complete test plan implementation and device behavior confirmation
    • Participate, support, and approve NPI/NTI Mask Layout Reviews
    • Design and procure test hardware
    • Collect, validate, and analyze the data for NPI/NTI product release
  • Support BU and department goals
    • Wolfspeed's Global Test Roadmap
    • Liaison to NPI pilot line
    • Bare Die/Known Good Die (KGD) Characterization Standards
    • Continuous improvement activities


This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
  • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline including Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering
  • Experience in test engineering, new product development, research or continuation/sustaining engineering environment
  • Experience in leading a test solution design
  • Experience with high voltage - above 600V systems and circuits
  • Experience analyzing data with statistical analysis tools like Minitab or JMP
  • Soft Skills
  • Excellent Time Management Skills with demonstrated success managing multiple project responsibilities
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills are essential to all levels of the organization
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in test engineering in a new product development, research or continuation/sustaining engineering


What could help you stand out?
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering
  • Familiarity with Semiconductor test characterization and data sheet performance testing.
  • Experience with On-Wafer and Bare Die Testing
  • Experience with .NET framework and NI LabVIEW
  • Experience managing test solution automation and/or system architecture.
  • PMP Certification
  • Green belt, Black belt certification
