Guideline is looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. You will be joining a distributed team of 40+ including remote employees and employees based near our offices. As a Frontend Engineer on an agile and pragmatic team, you will build upon our growing line of products that bring the possibility of a safe retirement to more people.

What you will be working on

• Bring modern software interfaces to an antiquated financial industry using your frontend engineering expertise.
• Build user interfaces and user experiences that are intuitive and delight our users.
• Work with a group of passionate technologists to help automate administrative tasks and build unique solutions to solve our users’ problems.
• Lay the foundation for frontend standards as the company expands product offering.
• Create in-house tooling and recommend 3rd party tooling for the company to use.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience leading the development of modern consumer-facing software interfaces
• Strong fundamentals in a couple of modern frontend frameworks or rendering libraries (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
• Expertise in developing, teaching and enforcing standards in frontend coding best practices to create unification across multiple products and teams
• Ability to use and recommend frontend testing automation software like Capybara and other third party tools
