Position Description: Vocera is seeking a passionate Sr. Web Development Manager to join our team. In this role you will lead the development, usability and design of the Vocera websites. This role reports to the Vice President of Digital and Demand Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement front-end and back-end development changes to websites
  • Drive website experience and work across organization to successfully deliver projects
  • Run all elements of global website presence including working with partners on website content development, publishing, testing, domains, and keywords
  • Mentor marketing colleagues on effective data-driven web strategies that enhance the customer experience
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies that improve site rankings across the major search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc)
  • Develop and launch tools and programs that support personalized web experiences as part of industry-based and account-based marketing
  • Use Google Analytics, Google Webmaster, Bing Webmaster, SEM Rush, Spyfu, BrowserStack and similar tools to enable data-driven decisions
  • Evolve websites integration with marketing stack particularly in usage of Marketo
  • Administer current Drupal website (version updates, security/patch updates) and advise leadership on future site technologies and industry best practices
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to build user personas, customer journeys, UI wireframes, and Information Architecture that improve website performance and provide exceptional, customer-focused, user experiences
  • Conduct website A/B testing, heat-mapping, and usability studies to better understand user behavior
  • Optimize websites for mobile devices (Responsive, AMP, PWA) based on omni-channel marketing strategies
  • Provide support for PPC and social media driven marketing efforts
  • Generate clear and concise analytic reports that inform partners and help drive marketing strategies
  • Conduct web security penetration tests as need
  • Implement industry leading web security practices
  • Manage CMS users and security privileges
  • Ensure website is accessible, reliable and optimized to increase conversations in domestic and international markets



Competencies

  • Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience
  • Proven experience with website analytics software
  • Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and emphasis on results
  • Strong project management skills, ability to make and meet strict deadlines
  • Dedicated, self-starter, able to work independently in a constantly evolving environment
  • Experience handling external outsource partners



Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, UX or Web Design or related field or equivalent
  • 12+ years' experience building and maintaining websites using CMS (Drupal, Wordpress)
  • Deep experience with Google Analytics, SEM Rush, UI/UX testing
  • Extensive experience writing JavaScript (drawing from javascript libraries), HTML, CSS and PHP
  • Demonstrated track record of setting up integrations with external APIs to leverage marketing technology integrations
  • Exposure to Marketo and Salesforce.com is preferred
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination required
