Sr Web Developer
Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: SAIC is seeking an experienced Web Developer to support a Customer office that is responsible for IT backend systems that enable Customers to effectively meet mission needs. The candidate will work as part of an agile team to collect, prioritize, define and implement website requirements. S/he will establish and maintain various websites in support of the Customer and its various projects, as well as track website status/changes and perform operations and maintenance activities. The candidate will develop website design and architecture in compliance with Customer IT practices and standards approved by governing boards. S/he will coordinate with partner offices to ensure that website functionality meets Customer needs and assist team members to effectively engage partner offices to ensure maximum connection and functionality of office websites to other Customer websites.
Qualifications
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Skills:
Must have current TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field (four years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree) and at least ten years of experience.
Excellent communication and coordination skills and experience working with a team to support Customer website development and oversight activities.
Successful track record of utilizing Amazon Web Services including Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), and Simple Storage Service (S3).
Expertise in Ruby on Rails to develop and maintain Customer websites.
Expertise in Bash scripting to develop and maintain Customer websites.
Successful experience with JavaScript and Angular as part of website development activities.
Ability to effectively collaborate with partner offices and IT oversight / security bodies to deliver functional websites.
