This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Passionate about building an innovative culture
This role is specifically for a Front End Lead Software Engineer for CCB Data Pipeline. The day to day functions of this role include:

  • Work with Product Owner and internal teams to translate high-level objectives into user flows, wireframe, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Able to apply architecture and engineering standards that are in place to developing solutions for clients.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional development team to design, develop, test and implement interfaces that provide beautiful, frictionless experiences for our analysts and data scientists which leverage the existing APIs and framework of Data Pipeline.
  • Potentially enhance existing APIs and framework for adapting to front end experience working with peer Leads for the product.
  • Create polished, high-fidelity visual designs that can be used to direct development and implementation.
  • Contribute ideas and make recommendations for features and systems that are in balance with shared organizational goals and priorities.
  • Assist other developers by sharing knowledge and participating in code and design reviews to increase the overall effectiveness of the team.
  • Work with colleagues to create interfaces and data visualizations for internal processes and reporting, allowing them to perform tasks more efficiently and providing access to decision-making data at all levels of the organization.
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex issues for our product and clients.
  • Create and maintain documentation in code as well as shared team documentation.
  • Quickly respond to issues during and outside of business hours if necessary.
  • Engage problem-solving skills on various technology-related projects and take on other tasks as assigned.


Competencies

  • Interface Design. You have a deep understanding of typography, color, contrast, information architecture, layout, and composition with pixel-perfect attention to detail capable of creating designs and prototypes that are ready for implementation.
  • Designing for Multiple Devices from desktop to mobile.
  • Front End Development: Capable of implementing designs alongside full-stack developers, with a particular focus on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.
  • User Experience: Experience with user testing, collecting feedback, and modifying designs based on those learnings.
  • Business Acumen: Skilled in business terminology and processes, quick to understand the customer journey as well as internal workflows. Able to adapt that knowledge to improve information architecture and experiences for customers and colleagues.
  • Adaptability: Able to nimbly and flexibly change priorities and direction as issues arise that require adaptiveness.
  • Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively with individuals and groups in both spoken and written communication.
