Job Description
Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with a passion for building world-class products and a desire to change the way the Walt Disney Company interfaces with its guests. Responsibilities

• Support critical build and deploy activities that allow us to deliver new experiences on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform to our Guests worldwide.
• Contribute to ongoing automation of development, build, and deploy processes, execution of automated tests, monitoring, and notifications
• Participate in team agile processes including refinements, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more areas of the team's infrastructure and toolchain. For example, git, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud APIs (including OCAPI)
• Regularly contribute to team planning, problem solving, and documentation
• Collaborate with peers on the Tools and Automation team as well as with front end and back-end developers to better deliver experiences that delight our Guests
• Support and improve our testing efforts. Develop tooling and process that support identifying defects earlier in the development process
• Deploy code to all environments frequently and help the team move towards true CI/CD
• Advocate for improvements to internal tools and processes, facilitating continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Devops, Site Reliability, or related roles
• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience
• Deep understanding of Javascript, shell scripting, and at least one additional scripting language
• Experience with NodeJS application stacks and npm package management toolchains
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools including Jenkins, Gitlab, VS Code, Docker/Vagrant, Github, NewRelic/Datadog, Cloud log management, Sonarqube, and Splunk.
• Experience with agile methodology
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Experience building automated processes using RESTful API's

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with eCommerce SaaS platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento or Websphere Commerce. Salesforce Commerce Cloud is ideal.
• Strong backend and frontend web development knowledge to help with code reviews
• Experience with eCommerce applications and environments
• Experience automating cloud-based processes. AWS and GCP preferred.

Required Education

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience required
