Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers is looking for new talent to join our Infrastructure & Cloud Services, Broadcast & Audiovisual team. Our team's objective is to bring people together through the use of audiovisual and collaboration technologies. In this role, the successful candidate will research, implement, and support solutions that improve the human experience of communication in the workplace. This highly collaborative team is responsible for AV technologies, including broadcast streaming, video conferencing, digital signage, and more. Daily activities include: market research, product evaluation, design engineering, reliability engineering, process design, tier III support, project management, vendor management, and product life cycle management.

Under general supervision, the successful candidate will act as a thought leader within the team demonstrating a thorough understanding of AV design engineering, installation and/or operations of infrastructure technologies. At an organizational level, plan, design, and develop technology solutions in partnership with customers, management, and technical resources from in and outside of the organization. This person will facilitate and/or participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. They will, develop and implement solutions that may involve multiple IT platforms, software and hardware technologies, both on-premise and cloud centric solutions. To perform within this role, this person will be able to quickly switch between tasks to meet the changing demands of the environment.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Evaluates systems specifications regarding customer requirements, transforming specifications into cost-effective, technically viable solutions.
• Prioritizes work and manages projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities.
• Responsible for establishing and managing to established quality control and security protocols.
• Provides the division, department and business area management with timely and accurate information regarding the status and performance of the assigned project(s).
• Leverages technology to design, develop, and implement optimal technology solutions.
• Builds, leverages, and maintains effective alliances across technical and business communities.
• Interacts with customers to achieve efficient, effective results.
• Multi-tasks, prioritizes according to business priorities and production availability requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, required.
• Five years of experience in Technology required.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

• 8 - 10 years of experience in Technology preferred.
• Experience providing technical direction to project teams preferred.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred.

Preferred Job Specific and Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge in products related to:
  • Video Conferencing Devices (e.g. Poly, Cisco, Crestron, Extron)
  • Display and Control Systems (e.g. Samsung, NEC/Sharp, Crestron, Extron)
  • Audio Processing and Amplification Systems (e.g. Bi-Amp, QSC, Shure, Extron, Crown, Harman)
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Video conferencing services (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams, Webex)
  • Infrastructure automation (e.g. PowerShell, Python)
  • Room integration programming (e.g. Extron, Crestron)
  • Foundational IT Infrastructure technologies (e.g. Network, Database, Server, Storage)
• Familiarity with:
  • Technologies
    • Video Broadcasting / Web Streaming (e.g. Kaltura, Panopto, VBrick, AWS Elemental)
    • Workspace Management Systems (e.g. FM:Systems, AppSpace, Extron Global Viewer, Crestron Fusion)
  • Methodologies
    • IDLC methodology
    • Lean / Agile methodologies
    • Product road-mapping & currency planning
