SCOPE OF ROLE

The Sr Systems Engineer proactively leads and supports end user computing activities through in-depth system and process reviews and assessments. The individual fulfilling this role should be a skilled critical thinker with the ability to evaluate and manage existing workflows, while also architecting and implementing new workflows to solve the evolving needs across the organization. They will be responsible for reviewing and executing system enhancement requests, while also working alongside other technical resources to advance our systems for current and future needs.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Subject matter expert of our core ITSM systems, integrations, and dependencies
  • Evaluate current system configurations and provides solutions/recommendations for improvement
  • Intake, schedule, and execute system enhancement requests
  • Work closely with various departments to align on requirements and execute necessary workflow or system changes
  • Identify areas to support automation between core technologies
  • Analyze and evaluate technology. Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with multiple SaaS solutions
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in administration of ITSM tools (ie FreshService, ServiceNow, ZenDesk,etc)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with AzureAD, Powershell, and Scripting experience
  • Technical expertise with creating & troubleshooting various workflows & integrations between SaaS solutions
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Understanding and knowledge of User Access Controls, Identity and Access Management, and Role Based Access Controls
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and manage technical projects, including identification of project scope, requirements, deliverables, and coordination of project design and implementation activities
  • A can-do, positive attitude
  • Desire and Ability to learn new technologies and applications on your own to support needs of business
  • Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and the analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of complex information
  • Outstanding communication skills as well as proficiency in interpreting results and formulating recommendations/action plans
