Abrigo is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to join our team. We provide a wide variety of career development and mentorship. The perfect candidate is organized, self-motivated, flexible to work in an environment with multiple responsibilities and has a passion for learning. This position will be remote or office based in Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX.

What You'll Do:

• Play a key technical role in facilitating various technical and business initiatives
• Review and recommend potential product offerings and solutions
• Recommend new infrastructure deployments and changes
• Plan upgrades, maintenances and outages for various systems
• Manage multiple simultaneous projects
• Install and maintain hardware/software solutions
• Deploy, manage and maintain server infrastructure
• Monitor systems to ensure optimal operating environments and capacity usage
• Document processes and procedures
• On-call responsibilities
• Train, develop skills on our products and services
• Other duties related to your capabilities, assigned on an as-needed basis
• Mentor and develop junior level staff

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor of Science degree (CS or related field), equivalent experience or professional industry recognized certifications in your areas of focus
• Ability to produce excellent documentation and deliver high quality work
• Significant experience administering, managing, and architecting storage technologies (i.e. NetApp, Pure, EMC)
• Knowledge of administering servers, including diagnostic procedures, and best practices
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (Azure or AWS)
• Advanced experience writing and debugging automated scripts (i.e. Ansible, Bash/Python/PERL/PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience working in virtualized environments, (VMware)
• Experience with HA environment development and deployment
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and network diagnostic techniques
• Understanding of concepts of clustering and databases
• Experience with storage technologies, such as CIFS/SMB, NFS, NAS, and SAN
• Progressive troubleshooting skills across a wide range of systems
• Knowledge of configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting operating systems, DNS/DHCP, AD/LDAP, and configuration management tools.
• Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting skills, and a desire to take on responsibility and ownership of issues
• Motivated team player, takes initiative, and strives to create an environment where continuous improvement can occur
• Supplement on-call rotation and work flexible hours
