We are looking for embedded software engineering leaders from the auto industry with proven track record of product level ownership & commercialization into major auto OEMs. Ideal candidate for this position would have worked in the auto software ecosystem - OEM or Tier1, lead software delivery of a major subsystem (BSP, Multimedia, Camera) into an OEM. Will have experience through the full lifecycle of software product from requirements, development, test & commercialization. Candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to interact with a wide cross section of the organization across Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, hardware & software engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• 4+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.• 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.

In this role you will be part of a leadership team responsible for the success of strategic and high priority Automotive Projects for Infotainment, Cluster & ADAS. Your role will entail working closely with Senior Management, Project Leads, Managers, Tier1/OEM through the lifecycle of an Automotive project. You will lead a team of Qualcomm Engineers across BSP, Multimedia & Camera technologies responsible to enable our customers to successfully integrate & commercialize Qualcomm's Auto SoCs & Software. In this role, you will interface with Senior leadership team within Qualcomm's Auto team to represent the needs & progress of Projects under your management. In addition to project execution, you will also be responsible to build strong strategic relationships with the OEM/Tier1 that can be leveraged across projects.
• 15+ Years of software experience in embedded software development.
• 10+ years in Automobile software development with Auto Tier1, OEM.
• 5+ Years of experience of in a leadership role, with Product level ownership.
• Experience interfacing with & managing deliverables into major Auto OEMs.
• Experience through all phases of Product life cycle from requirements, bring up, software integration, certification, commercialization.
• Excellent communication skills, presentation, proven experience interfacing with Director/VP level audience.
• Hands on BSP, Platform experience with QNX/Linux/Android metals and HV platforms like QNX/Green Hills/OpenSynergy
• Strong problem-solving skills & persistence to be able to drive the resolution of complex issues reported by Tier1s, OEMs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams. Automotive product development and commercialization
