The Role:

Neo4j is looking for an experienced solutions architect with a track record of success to join our solutions team. We’re looking for someone passionate about architecting and building enterprise class cloud based business solutions, working with sales to demonstrate these solutions to key customers and prospects. In addition, working with professional services team and directly with customers to conduct proofs-of-concept and project implementations. Leading the evangelization of solutions internally and externally. 

This role requires core software engineering skills, solution architecture, technology integration, data modelling and engineering management skills. Experience working with and architecting cloud solutions leveraging components of the Google Cloud, AWS or Azure stack are required. Proficiency with Java, Javascript and SQL/No SQL are required. Prior experience with Neo4j database, Cypher Query Language and GraphQL are a plus. You will be building industry leading solutions leveraging Neo4j graph platform and allied open source / commercial software and cloud APIs.

This Role will be 50% internal facing defining and leading the building of new Solution Frameworks and collaborating with consulting, sales engineering, marketing, alliances and engineering; and 50% external facing working with customers and partners to position & deploy these solutions.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of IT experience with at least 3 years as a solutions or data architect supporting enterprise software solutions
• Master's degree in computer science, a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with SQL, NOSQL databases, full stack Java, Javascipt, and Python development and associated frameworks, Integration technologies like JMS / Kafka / Informatica / MQ / Kettle
• Experience working with and integrating cloud APIs from Google Cloud, AWS and/or Azure towards building an end-to-end business solution 
• Ability to support sales & marketing teams to build and present solution demos and proofs-of-concepts
• Ability to develop reference solution architecture models and articulate solution positioning and competitive differentiation to both business and technical users
• Vertical industry experience in either Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare or hi-tech manufacturing OR domain experience in either Master Data Management, Financial Fraud, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Human Resource Management or Knowledge Graphs
• Experience with responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
• Experience leading and successfully delivering an end-to-end enterprise solutions with high performance, scale and operational requirements
• Ability to break down customer requirements into a solution architecture comprised of multiple components with clear separation of concerns while keeping in mind products that fit each component
• Excellent foundation in software best practices
• Ability to travel 50%
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Skilled at handling multiple priorities with a high level of initiative and independence.
• Enjoys working in a dynamic and intellectually challenging environment.

• Experience implementing Neo4j’s graph DB and Cypher Query Language
• Experience implementing GraphQL based API
