Department OverviewSoftware Operations is a cross functional team supporting Motorola Solutions in disciplines such as engineering, supply chain, and business strategy. We provide the operational support for Motorola’s Software, Licensing, and Services business, which includes areas of product integration, business intelligence, order fulfillment, and distribution.
Job Description

In this role you are responsible for Full-stack web development, with responsibilities involving all areas of software development: stakeholder discussions and requirements gathering; low level design (data modeling, database schema design, and prototyping); development/implementation, and maintenance.

Primary responsibility will be to work with internal and external users that are currently using, or desire to use, services provided by Software Operations. This will involve detailed analysis of the user’s requirements, detailed project plans, tool development, testing, user training, and implementation. The position will also require the candidate to learn, support, and enhance current systems/tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required.

• 3 years of work experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Candidate must have experience or coursework in web application development 

• Experience with JavaScript required.

• Experience with web services required.

• Competency with SQL required.

• Experience or knowledge with jQuery, desired

• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows based environments, desired

• Experience or knowledge with ColdFusion, or or other server side web application technologies (PHP, Python, etc.), desired. 

• Experience with MVC framework and Object Oriented methodologies, a plus

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.

• 3 years of work experience

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
