Role Summary:

"BeerTech" is a new function inside Anheuser-Busch, which operates like a startup. BeerTech is responsible for building software products that are a competitive advantage to our business and comprises three technical guilds (Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering) which support our Product Office.

As a member of the Software Engineering team, you will architect, implement and support data drive micro-services, and packages. Some of the services are asynchronous batch processes supporting off-line machine learning systems, developed in collaboration with the Data Science guild. Some of the services are interactive services, developed in collaboration with the frontend team. Some of the packages are proprietary to BeerTech, while others we hope to release to the open-source community when they are mature enough. You will also have the opportunity to influence architecture and the technology stack to promote quality and innovation necessary for industry changing data driven machine learning systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable and resilient data driven micro-services in collaboration with the Data Science and Data Engineering teams.
• Be responsible for hosting and maintaining data science and utility packages that support data driven micro-services.
• Author high quality code, unit tests and integration tests to help achieve high frequency feature deployments to production services.
• Continuously explore and incorporate new technologies to keep our micro-services, packages and software up to date with industry developments.
• Develop systems that are cloud agnostic and individually contribute towards achieving a multi-cloud compute layer.
• Daily code reviews and collaboration to enable fast, high quality contributions.
• Contribute to our long-term technical roadmap.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• Real-world experience developing scalable software.
• Experience in designing user experiences and building data driven machine learning systems.
• Strong working experience with cloud compute providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience with high velocity CI/CD systems, Agile ways of working and A/B testing to accelerate iteration cycles.
