The Sr Software Engineer is a crucial technology role, responsible for translating requirements and user stories into functional software that delivers value to the business. Within this team, we are looking for a Sr Software Engineer with a background in sophisticated integrations to help us ensure that we are building the outstanding products, and continuously maintaining and enhancing existing products, to improve what differentiates us and our technical excellence. Specifically, this role will be responsible for maintaining and developing software for our Legal Compliance/Operations, Ethics, & Antipiracy areas.
Role Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, business systems analysts, and other partners to understand application requirements and integration points, translating them into effective sustainment support plans
- Monitor and maintain the health and stability of applications and their integrations, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to minimize disruptions
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for critical incidents related to applications and or their integrations to restore functionality quickly and effectively
- Apply data integration standard methodologies, including Messaging Bus, APIs, Pub-Sub, and ETL, to optimize data flow and synchronization
- Work closely with technical teams, including third-party vendors, compliance, enterprise applications, and infrastructure teams, to ensure performance, security and stability
- Engage in regular maintenance and enhancement activities to uphold performance and efficiency
- Coordinate with development teams to implement changes, updates, and improvements while prioritizing stability and maintainability
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure sharing and continuity within the team
- Collaborate in an Agile environment, participate in stand-ups, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Needed Experience:
- Proven experience with sustainment support and operations including monitoring, incident resolution, compliance and performance optimization
- 5+ years in a Software Support/Engineering/Development role, developing secure data solutions, software development, and coding practices with experience in Python, Java, & .NET
- 2+ years of experience with Web Services APIs, Messaging Bus, Pub-Sub, Google Cloud Platform, and ETL
- Proven knowledge of best-practice business process and technologies for legal functions, focusing on architecture and integration to legacy-based systems
- Strong understanding of broad systems architecture and data flow
- Expertise in developing and delivering highly scalable and flexible, cost effective, cloud-based enterprise solutions and open-source software solutions
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies (PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, ICP-ACC, etc.) and an understanding of ITIL v4
- Ability to work collaboratively with various technical teams to ensure seamless operation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related subject area; or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of legal based technologies (ex. NetDocuments, Legal Document Management)
- Experience within Diligent and/or Recommind
- Certification/s within Agile and/or ITIL
- Master's degree in a related field of study

The hiring range for this position in Burbank is $136,038 to $182,490 per year and in Seattle is $142,516 to $191,180 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. #LI-JH8
