Collins Aerospace Avionics Concepts, Practices, and Tools (CPT) organization seeks a (P3) Sr Engineer, Software Engineering for the Custom Applications team. This position is a remote position from any US based location.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mentor less experienced Software Developers in proper software design, code, integration, testing, and documentation.
  • Meet with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
  • Contribute to software requirements capture, review, and interface designs.


  • Identify web-based user interactions.
  • Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using ReactJS concepts.
  • Develop application interfaces using JavaScript and/or TypeScript following React workflows.
  • Troubleshoot interface software and debug applications.
  • Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.


  • Monitor and improv front-end performance.
  • Document application changes and developing updates.


Basic Qualifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree (STEM degree highly preferred) and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.


  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working as a ReactJS developer.
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, TypeScript, HTML, and front-end languages.
  • Knowledge of REACT tools including ReactJS, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
  • Experience with user interface design.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks including Mocha, Jest, and Cypress.


  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.


  • Potential for travel three to four weeks a year.
