TeleSign is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our web development team. This role will work alongside other full stack engineers to play a part in developing all of TeleSign's internal and customer-facing web properties. Our team works primarily in Python and ReactJS, and are looking for an engineer who is excited about developing the entire stack from the UI all the way down to the database.
Responsibilities
  • Ownership of the entire development lifecycle of our websites and services, including Technical Design, Estimation, Implementation, Review, Testing Automation, and Documentation
  • Collaboration with Product Team to provide technical feedback for designs and bring excellent customer experiences to life
  • Collaboration with Operations to ensure safety and stability of our platform
  • Collaboration with development team to build systems as efficient and reusable microservices
  • Mentorship of junior developers

Essential Soft Skills
  • Empathy and compassion for our users and our team

  • Desire to seek out opportunities to improve process and create positive change
  • Drive to learn and grow professionally both as an individual and with the team
  • Strong organizational skills and a desire to document research

Essential Technical Skills
  • 4-7 years hands-on experience developing software for enterprise production use
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision on analysis and development tasks
  • Expertise in either front or backend work, with interest in both
  • Deep knowledge of "OWASP Top 10" Web Application Security Risks

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with React and its frameworks, or a willingness to learn
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs
  • Experience with gRPC service development
  • Experience writing SQL stored procedures
  • Experience with Python and its frameworks, such as Django or FastAPI
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM
  • Familiarity with common software tools, such as Git and Jenkins
  • Familiarity with the GDPR
