Primary Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
• Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, and describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategies
• Experience administering applications in the public cloud (Azure preferred- Data Bricks, HDInsight, EventHub, Event Grid, Azure Functions, Serverless ETL)
• Experience building and deploying applications to the cloud using cloud-native services
• Experience working with Microservice based architecture i.e. containers and container-orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Build deployment pipelines for CI/CD using Git, Jenkins, JFrog, JUnit, Mockito, Docker Hub, Groovy and Maven
• Build Automation for monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Create a startup mentality to accelerate the introduction of new capabilities and transform teams
• Pro-actively identifies the needs/priorities of the audience and provides relevant information when sharing insights, including facts and explanation of decision-making criteria
• Lead technology decisions, drive product implementation and delivery
• Provide technical solutions, architecture, design patterns along with project estimates and timelines
• Review code and provide feedback on best practices, reusable code frameworks, industry benchmarks, and performance improvements
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring other engineers for best practices in data engineering
• Provide end-to-end life cycle management from inception to delivery including proposals, estimates, team formations, coordination, development, execution, and support
• Excellent organizational, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS - Computers/Electronics/Electrical)
• 5+ years of SQL programming in databases ( snowflake/oracle/Hive etc.)
• 2+ years of data programming in Python and Spark
• 2+ years of experience in cloud - Data bricks ,ADF, ADLS2 (Azure preferred)
• Experience with gathering business requirements and with analyzing data
• Experience with cloud technologies (ideally MS Azure)
• Experience building data pipelines & continuous integration(CI/CD - GitHub/Jenkins) with skills Python / Scala, APIs, Azure Data factory, and App services
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience building complex data pipelines or ETLs in large scale big Data platforms or datalakes
• Data manipulating, processing and extracting value using large datasets
