The Disney Streaming Living Room Devices team is seeking an experienced (Senior) Software Engineer within the UWP Client Application Engineering Team. As a (Senior) Software Engineer, you'll be part of the team that builds our Direct-to-Consumer client apps, such as Disney+, Star+ and Hulu on Windows desktop as well as Xbox One/Xbox Series S/Xbox Series X gaming consoles. Best of all, you'll get to build these apps in C# and XAML!
We're looking for an engineer who has experience in C# and XAML and is ready to write client apps that provide the best experiences for our viewers using controller, media remote, touch, mouse, or keyboard. Responsibilities :

  • Be a critical member of a team of engineers responsible for building our client app experiences in C# and XAML.
  • Contribute to the development of new Disney+, Star+ and Hulu application features from on-boarding to browse UI/UX experiences, analytics, video


Basic Qualifications :

  • Mid-level candidates should have 3-5 years of C# and XAML experience with WPF, UWP, and/or WinUI 3.
  • Senior-level candidates should have at least 5+ years of C# and XAML experience with WPF, UWP, and/or WinUI 3.
  • Experience with MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) architecture
  • Senior level candidates will have experience mentoring junior level team members.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience creating beautiful, rich, performant user interfaces in XAML, including implementing pixel-perfect designs and animations.
  • Experience working on user interface-level code and knowledge of common patterns, architectures, and approaches to present a data-driven UX to viewers.
  • Experience creating and extending templated controls.
  • Experience with asynchronous and concurrent code.
  • Experience with unit testing and related patterns.
  • Experience with Xbox app or game development, with code sharing across device families a plus.
  • Familiarity with streaming media technologies such as HLS, DRM, HDCP.
