About the Team:
You will work on a highly collaborative team that is focused on building the next innovation for new LivePerson Enterprise and SMB customers. We are building new, scalable products that start with the customer intent and focus on conversational commerce and conversion. We are seeking a driven, full-stack developer that has a natural passion to creatively solve customer pain points through building innovative solutions.
In this role you will:
- Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to develop both prototypes & production-grade applications
- You will own the design and implementation of significant portions of the product development, and serve as a leader and mentor for a small team of engineers in their areas of work. A commitment to teamwork, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements.
- You will be creating a reliable, scalable, and high-performance service requiring exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- Using various OO & functional language techniques to build APIs & business logic
- Design robust solutions that scale - compute, storage, networking - cost-effectively while protecting customer data
- Leverage public cloud technologies, databases - NoSQL DB’s
- Identifying & eliminate performance & scale issues affecting both front and back ends
- Work closely with UX teams and Product Management to define and build the optimal user experience for our web UI
- Work closely with global teams, in different locations and integrate into their product.
- Ensure compliance with security standards
- Debug production issues and help maintain existing code
- Development of technical specifications and documentation
- Participate in on-call rotations
You should be an expert in:
- Being a team player and collaborating in a remote environment with distributed teams
- Strong coding skills & ability to perform in a dynamic, agile & entrepreneurial environment
- Experience with client-side JS frameworks, and specifically Prototype and Node.js - advantage
- Experience with server-side Java frameworks
- Strong coding skills & ability to perform in a dynamic, agile & entrepreneurial environment
- Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design
- Ability to design simple solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to solve complex development problems and produce the highest quality code while striving to push the technical boundaries of online applications
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Autodidact
- Strong communication and organizational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced production deadline-driven environment
- Experience integrating with third party API’s
- Experience in logging/monitoring tools like Graphite, Kibanna, Grafana, Prometheus - advantage
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial software development.
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level software applications.
