Meeting your future team:

• You will be a member of the Lineage team whose purpose is to implement automated Lineage scanners and present the result via interactive Lineage diagrams. 
• Your role will specifically aim at the backend orchestration and presentation layer with Lineage diagrams.
• Your work will be very appreciated by companies and developers maintaining a legacy codebase or 3rd party solutions as we mitigate manual Lineage tracing.

Software Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:

• Backend orchestration component (Python, Django, SQL)
• Maintaining and enhancing Lineage presentation layer with diagrams (Python, SQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS)
• Continuously implementing ad hoc requests like adding file storage layers to AWS/GCP/Azure/...
• Helping to leverage value of metadata that are discovered by lineage scanner team
• Working closely with Lineage team members and cross functionally with other teams as Product, Support, QA

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience in building scalable software applications using Python, or 5+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in a related field
• Relevant experience with HTML and JavaScript to ensure cross browser compatibility 
• Solid experience, at least 1 year, and skills with Django 
• Experience and comfort working with agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban

You Are:

• You are a senior engineer capable working fully independently
• You are organized and you intuitively create structure around yourself
• You are disciplined, flexible and willing to learn and improve
• Able to work productively with a geographically distributed remote team and to be able to mentor and advise other engineers you work with on the scrum team

Measuring Success:

• Within your first month, you will implement smaller issues and push to production.
• Within your second month, you will get yourself familiar with the application and you continue to push to production.
• Within your third month, your knowledge about the application will be sufficient enough to onboard a newly coming developer.
