Sr. / Lead Software Engineer with EHR Experience

Xealth is looking to add a Senior Back-End Software Engineer with EHR experience to our team.

We’re a highly skilled, passionate team, disciplined in our agile approach, with a track record of success –– and we are proud to be applying our efforts to improve health options for everyone.  Our solution runs on AWS, integrating 3rd-party digital healthcare solutions, Electronic Health Records, and practice management systems such as Cerner and Epic.

As a Sr. Software Engineer at Xealth, you will:

  • Work on a Scrum team, create and maintain APIs, Services, and Components using JavaScript/Typescript and Node.js in a cloud-first environment
  • Use forward-leaning software engineering approaches in your work, e.g. clean code.
  • Mentor other software engineers

Our ideal Software Engineer will have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development using any of the following languages: JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/Python or equivalent
  • HealthCare development experience including EHR APIs (Epic and/or Cerner's FHIR Resource, or proprietary APIs)
  • 1+ years of experience in Healthcare developing in HL7 and/or FHIR
  • API Development and microservice experience with REST, Open API/Swagger 
  • Prior commercial cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding, or a desire to learn the intricacy of software in the healthcare industry
  • High focus on creating quality software, with our watchwords being clean code, test-driven development, etc
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field 
  • Excellent communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

Xealth offers a multi-tiered approach when constructing a highly competitive compensation package. The compensation package would include a base salary, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits.

The compensation range for this position is $160,000 - $215,000 + equity
