Job Description:

Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device development. Duties include: Oversee definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development; Determine architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation; Define module interfaces/formats for simulation; Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits; Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use; Work in an area of specialization to develop ASIC/layout design, working on problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors; Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles; and Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Multiple openings.

Amount and type of experience required:

Master's degree in Electronics Engineering; Electrical Engineering; or Computer Engineering. Foreign equivalent degree accepted.

6 months of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Employer will accept experience gained during a graduate/research assistantship or internship.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires education or experience with the following technologies and/or skills: Logic and circuit design; RTL Design / coding; Verilog / VHDL; and ASIC Design.

Skills may be gained concurrently.
