Sr. Security Engineer (Python Development)

This Senior Security Automation Engineer/Python Developer position can be located in the following Disney Hubs: Seattle, WA / Burbank, CA / Orlando, FL / Bristol, CT
In order to ensure that our services keep TWDC secure, we follow an ongoing, iterative process, including continued reevaluation of our services over time to address emerging threats as well as changes in business and technology.
Responsibilities :
The GIS Automation & Orchestration (GIS SAO) Team addresses a variety of use cases from information security stakeholders at The Walt Disney Company. GIS SAO engineers deliver solutions that increase business agility, reduce costs, optimize resources, and manage the complexity associated with information security tools and processes at scale. Team members design and develop enterprise-class automation and deal with a wide variety of inter-disciplinary use cases from Enterprise Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management, Penetration Testing and Endpoint Security.
The Senior Security Automation Engineer/Python Developer position is responsible for:
- Working with Correction Action Team to deliver automated workflow, data and reporting
- Engineering solutions utilizing tools and platforms: Python, REST, JSON, AWS services (Lambda, RDS, S3, EC2), Jira, and Snowflake
- Demonstrating advanced tool proficiency (analyze, configure, assist in deployment, operate), coding, technical development and implementation
- Engineering data integration, presentation and automation of security workflows: feature development, testing, deployment, operations automation and monitoring
- Automation & orchestration of use cases, addressing initial requirements through final delivery of code and infrastructure
- Compiling use cases, structuring development work into tasks, and creating other technical documentation and diagrams aligned with functions defined by the use case
- Ensuring systems are delivered in accordance with and are aligned with Company security requirements: architecture assessments, secure development training, conducting RTOs, etc.
Basic Qualifications :
- Skilled in:
- Python (PyODBC, SQL Alchemy, Requests, Pandas, Flask or FastAPI),
- JSON
- SQL
- Jira (JQL)
- RESTful and REST
- SOAP/WSDL API’s
- Elasticsearch (7.0+ preferred)
- AWS cloud API/SDK: boto3, S3, SQS, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM
- Development support tools such as GitHub/GitLab and Jira
- Linux, Mac, and Windows
- 5 or more years of experience in a combination of software engineering, data engineering, technical operations or security engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data Management: source system analysis, data profiling and data quality for an enterprise-scale cybersecurity analytics platform
- Data warehousing, analytics, risk management or security architecture experience are a plus
- Machine learning, Snowflake, data catalog tools such as Alation, Informatica EDC
Required Education :
- BA/BS in Computer Science or appropriate work experience preferred
Preferred Education :
- MS Computer Science
