Within IT Engineering - Enterprise Applications, the Collaboration Team oversees cross-platform enhancements while owning and improving the UX and architecture of such tools used at the enterprise level (i.e. Slack, Google, Zoom.). We aim to increase engagement and productivity via innovation (supportive app deployments, integrations, and automations). As a member of the Collab Eng team at Uber, you will work closely with a vast network of other engineers, business systems analysts, operational specialists, and program managers.
What you will do...

  • Lead management of SaaS tools (primarily Slack/Google) and priority projects/customer concerns by working with partners and teams across the org, identifying architectural gaps, operational improvements, and platform enhancements.
  • Lead your fellow teammates in SaaS landscape discoveries, health/usage analysis, and project scoping for innovative opportunities and tech debt reconciliation.
  • Manage the configuration, operation, and interactions of Uber's Slack Grid and/or Google Workspace and related products in relation to connected ecosystems; lead multiple related projects.
  • Partner with our Tech Privacy, Eng Sec, eDiscovery, App Ops and other various IT Eng teams to complete platform compliance and data integrity needs.
  • Create accurate and clear user documentation, develop support playbooks and process governance, design user trainings, and conduct operational hand-offs.
  • Embody the company's Engineering Competencies and aid the direct team in all verticals within Collab Eng as needed (audio-visual, collaboration tools, data collection, and contract lifecycle management).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of IT work experience in service administration, engineering, or increased levels or support/operations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and collaborate
  • Experience with integrating apps, developing bots, and/or enabling other automations
  • Knowledgeable with API's. Working knowledge of: Python / Bash / Javascript
  • Fundamental understanding of DevOps and Security standard methodologies
  • Previous Slack Admin or Google Admin experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of IT work experience in infrastructure/engineering and/or SaaS management
  • Experienced Slack Workspace Admin/owner or Google Workspace Super Admin
  • Well-practiced in cloud environments like Google Cloud IAM, AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Proven ability to manage vendor partnerships, aid in negotiating contracts and renewals, and drive platform improvements based on business needs and use cases
  • Demonstrates strong methodologies for enabling others and leading cross-functional projects involving multiple teams
  • Strong leadership and ability with Slack Enterprise Grid and Google Workspace architecture for a large, public, and global company
