Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive Continuous testing for DevOpS enablement of product and build all required testing/automation needs of the product
• Understand domain and create test cases, test suites with continuous testing methodology to execute Functional testing, regression testing, performance testing
• Quality assurance thru automation for ongoing/existing product development
• Help in building quality gates in the code pipelines to enable DevOps practices
• Lead QA engineers to foster the Quality thru Automation mindset. Review test cases specifications and design documents
• Design, develop and implement automated tests
• Perform testing with JSON/XML API transactions
• Deliver solutions in accordance with enterprise standards and within development and operational guardrails
• Mentor and direct other SDET/Engineers in automation principles
• Debug software and perform reviews of automation and application code
• Engineer solutions that collect and report test results through various metrics reporting tools, example Sonar
• Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement (i.e. test automation frameworks, dynamic data collection methodologies, coding standards, components and object repository methods, etc.)
• Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business sponsors, managers, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate to the target audience
• Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of overall experience with strong testing skills. Ability to develop test strategy, design test plan, and test cases effectively and independently
• QA background with experience / responsible for full life-cycle testing activities (manual and automated) of applications based on defined requirements in identifying and writing / reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results. Perform thorough System, Integration, Regression, load, performance and End to End testing
• Experience in Java 8 / J2EE, Strong in Java Concurrency, IO and Collection, database query, HTTP & REST API design / SOAP Web Services
• Experience in different automation tools selenium, Protractor, Jmeter, etc.
• Good understanding of development processes and tools - Sonar, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD
• Expertise with JUnit, TestNG, or any other test framework. JUnit test cases and knowledge on DevOps toolchain, Continuous Testing / Automation
• Ability to Influence the team with lead by example and provide required coaching / mentoring
• Excellent understanding of REST/SOAP API using Postman, SOAP UI and programming languages
