The Opportunity

Come join our dynamic and talented Platform Foundational Services organization where we develop enterprise platform, applications, and services for FICO. As a Sr. Manager/Manager Software Development Engineer in Test, you will lead the QA team and is part of a highly valued engineering organization that develops cutting edge analytics software for high profile customers across a wide variety of industries using the latest technologies and software development methodologies. This individual must be a technical hands-on leader with a proven track record of successfully managing on-shore and off-shore teams with a strong sense of quality ownership and teamwork

What You'll Contribute

  • Responsible for the strategy, administration, and direction of the Quality Assurance team for the projects assigned.
  • Develop and mentor a team of Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET) and QA Engineers.
  • Promote and participate in Agile and SAFe development methodologies.
  • Build and drive test strategies, test plans, and test execution with heavy emphasis on test automation.
  • Define and drive test automation initiatives.
  • Perform hands-on testing, develop automated tests, and QA tasks as needed.
  • Develop and monitor quality metrics.
  • Report QA status, product readiness, project risks, and participate in all aspects of SDLC.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA and engineering processes.
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to foster collaboration, establish and execute strategic plans, objectives, and goals to meet corporate directions.
  • Keep current with technologies, industry standards, and introduce them to the team as needed for adoption.
  • Establish and monitor performance goals and conduct employee performance reviews. Amplify the talents of the current team and attract, hire, retain and coach outstanding talents.



What We're Seeking

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Strong software test experience including coding and developing test automation, and demonstrated experience managing QA teams.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience managing and working with globally distributed teams.
  • Knowledgeable in the QA and development of Web applications on Unix, Linux, and Cloud environments.
  • Experience developing formal test methodologies, test coverage assessment, test plan, test case creation and management, and quality metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation and hands-on experience of developing automated tests.



Preferred Skills

  • Ability to architect test automation framework and develop automated tests in Java or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation and CI/CD tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or Protractor, Maven, TestNG, Junit and Jenkins.
  • Experience working with cloud-based test automation and develop on AWS Cloud environment.
  • Familiar with issue tracking, project management, and test case management tools such as JIRA and qTest.
